Old treasures | OOTD

It was the start of London Fashion Week yesterday so I thought I would do a fashion related post. I was going through my wardrobe and was just playing around with outfits and then I came up with this one (the images above.) I think of this outfit as one you could wear to work as it is smart but adds a comfortable vibe to it with the oversize faux fur gilet and the oversize jumper. You could also wear it out to lunch/dinner because the court shoes give it a dressy up feeling without over doing it.  I love this outfit as it is quite different but also very trendy and chic with the bodycon midi skirt, faux fur, oversized layers.

Grey jumper- Topshop
Faux fur gilet- H&M
Midi skirt- Boohoo.com
Red court shoes- Next
Watch- Next

I have linked similar items above, but unfortunately they aren't the exact same as mine because I have had these items in my wardrobe for a long time so they have been discontinued.

Snacks and Drinks | Friday Feburary Fitness

So for us it is the snacks that we find the hardest when eating healthy...knowing you have a pack of mini eggs but you know they are bad for you...
Anyway as I said the snacks are the hardest to feel satisfied but in this post we have shown you what we do it that is yummy and easy to do!
The first image of the yoghurt bark is delicious although I would say it is best eaten around summer time as you can eat it like ice cream. It cools you down and definitiley fills you up. For some strange reason we both felt full after eating a piece?! Anyway it is super easy to do you just spread Greek yoghurt on a baking tray with grease proof paper and then add your desired fillings on top! We used pistachios and raisings and a sprinkle of rolled oats! This tastes even better with maple syrup on top after it has gone in the freezer to harden for 3 hours!
Next is fruit! Fruit is delicious and actually exciting to eat! If you make a fruit salad or have fruit and yoghurt as a quick fuel snack it keeps you energised and satisfied throughout the day until meal time! That is saying something  there! Me and Kirsty would have never had said that about 2 months ago but after eating fruit you feel clean (if that makes sense) and you feel refreshed and a lot happier!
Dark chocolate! Now if you don't like 80% dark chocolate you basically don't like chocolate! Anything under (and yes I know it says 70% on the packet, but that's all we had) is basically bad for you! 80% is more natural and definitely satisfying. After 2/3 squares you are normal again, no cravings! Amazing right?! Luckily me and kirsty enjoy eating 80% and over chocolate otherwise we would probably be going for the unhealthy alternatives!
Now onto the drinks!
Me and Kirsty aren't drink enthusiasts, we are the people who order water from a restaurant and nothing else 'exciting'. We don't drink fizzy drinks and we haven't for about 2 years. We just said one day lets stop drinking fizzy drinks to prevent spots (because unfortunately that's what us teenagers get as presents!) Anyway our drink ideas are lemon water and green tea! If you aren't a water fan add fruit (lemon) to your water and you will be more happier with what you once considered a bland drink to now a tasty drink!  Lemon is a great antioxidant as well so stock up on them!
Green tea! Now we Love green tea however it is to a required taste. It kind of tastes just like hot water but with some sort of twang?! So not everyone likes it but thankfully we do! And again green tea is a great antioxidant!
Hope you enjoyed today's  post! Hope you are now inspired to swap your refined sugars for better alternatives?! Although me and Kirsty do still eat a naughty treat from time to time we have definitely added more nutritious snacks to our diet!

Training to be a Princess?

One of the biggest thing that makes me different to everyone else is my Clumsy-ness. I am VERY clumsy. No Extremely clumsy, I have been my whole entire life. People will know me mainly for it. I will give you a few examples of my ever so funny talent. Let's start of with the recent flashback of me being me... on one Saturday morning I happened to be in a restaurant 'Frankie and Bennies' to be exact, to celebrate my friend's 16th birthday. I decided to have poached eggs on toast which I must say looked and tasted amazing. However, somehow I managed to flip my whole plate so everything on my plate was now all down me. How lovely. Oh also another example would be the time I full on tripped in the middle of town. Yes a town, My face was about an inch away from the pavement but I managed to save myself without putting my arms out to stop me. Oh no I used them like wings to fly myself back up. How does one do this?

Luckily for me I can laugh of the weird and wonderful things I do. It makes good story's trust me. I'm still very much confused with how I manage to accomplish such a skill. But I am ever so grateful no one that worked at Frankie and bennies saw me do it because I think I would of died of embarrassment. My nick name from my family is calamity Jane.

Nothing will change this but I'm pretty sure I have got worse as I have got older.
P.S just got on the wrong train.

Motivation | February Friday Fitness

Finding the motivation to keep fit can be very difficult. I would recommend finding something that you want to get from it all. For us it is to bring our fitness level up for our GCSE PE grade, as well as for me Kirsty to train for my half marathon coming up in April. But the way we find motivation is through Pinterest and instagram. Pinterest and instagram give us motivation food wise and exercise wise. Quotes can also give us motivation.
But we thought we would give you a motivational speech to help keep you motivated...you can interpret this fitness wise, school related or even on a daily basis.
What are your goals? Who are you doing it for? The only way to exceed is pushing yourself to work harder to find the results. Most importantly you should be doing it for yourself! Don't try and be someone else when you are your own individual for a reason. Why would you want to neglect your own self? Better yourself, work on developing yourself as a person because then people would admire you for that.... there is no point in creating another image you were not supposed to be (if that makes sense.) When you wake up set yourself goals in what you want to achieve that day then you will have a clear understanding in where you are at and how far away you are. Think positive because the negative will just bring you down! Positivity will keep you focused, determined and motivated! Actions speak louder than words my friends, so do something about it! Don't just sit around expecting for it to happen. 'Work hard play hard' is a perfect quote for this, put all the work in now because you can do whatever you want after. Ask yourself these questions whenever you contemplate on giving up:
Who? - Who are you doing it for?.....Yourself!
What?- What are you wanting from it?
When?- When are you doing it?.....Now!
Where?- Where are you doing it?
Why?- Why are you doing it?

Grammys after party; Make-up and Outfit favourites

So after the Grammys on Sunday I fell in love with Kendall Jenner's lace, pleated dress. I LOVE the deep V-neck and lace cut-outs above her waist. This gives her definition and shape to her beautiful figure. The bottom part of the dress is pleated with a sheer lace material covering her legs. I love how it is black as sometimes colour can ruin a dress. So overall, Kendall Jenner again looked beautiful.

Favourite Makeup...

Katy Perry looked amazing at the Grammys. Her makeup especially. I'm in love with all of her makeup looks recently she is just rocking a variety of looks. I'm also a huge fan of her purple pastel hair and the jewellery goes nicely with the overall look. Katy Perry you are hitting it right now!!

Friday February Fitness | Breakfast-Lunch-Dinner

So today is the start of our February Fitness posts! So why not kick it off with food?! I would say the food is the most important as it affects you physically and mentally. After all, healthy body healthy mind! So we have decided to eat healthier by just supplementing what we would have usually of eaten! Here are one idea for each meals that we find truly scrumptious!
Breakfast:
PORRIDGE! Now when we first tried porridge we didn't like it as much. This was due to the consistency of milk to water. So we left it for a couple of weeks until I came across Jamie Oliver's 'how to make the perfect porridge' video! WOW! It truly is perfect and entirely healthy/clean! Having this in the morning definitely energises us ready for the day and makes us feel a lot more passionate about achieving things for the day. Positive would be the outcome of this breakfast! We mix fruit each day depending on what we have in the kitchen but we do LOVE mashed banana mixed in with the oats.
Lunch:
Salad. I love salad I think every time you make a salad it is different. Kirsty however didn't like salads until she was more open to the idea of trying more foods! And now she loves them and enjoys eating them and that is including lettuce! Salads enables us to have a good supply of vitamins and minerals as well as a satisfied palette when we have finished the meal! You know exactly what you are putting in your salad so no extra sugar or processed ingredients are included, it is all pure and fresh!
Dinner:
SOUP! Butternut squash soup! Energizing, filling and warming is what describes this soup. It is lump as we use a masher but we love it this way due to its texture. We have it with bread or pitta bread just to soak up the juices. This is a winter dish for the family that is perfect to end a tiring day!It is quick and easy to make, I got this recipe off slimming world so check it out if you are interested!

We hope you enjoyed the start to our Friday February Fitness! If you have a more sweet tooth then keep your eyes peeled for what is to come or if you are more interested in the fitness side then also keep your eyes peeled as we will be including a variety of aspects to a healthy lifestyle.

Don't put your new shoes on the table!

Hello, so today I received my Public Desire croc print, pointed flats. I LOVE THEM!
I was scrolling through instagram when I came across a brand called Public Desire. I then stalked their instagram and then their website and what can I say... I fell in love with 90% of their shoes!
Now I'm a shoe person, I walk into a shop and go to the shoe department and I try on all the shoes I can handle. So when I was going through their website you could imagine what I was like- hysterical, enthusiastic and not to mention in the mood to buy everything! I came across the pointed flats area and I have been wanting pointed flats since the beginning of January so when I came across this section it was perfect for me! I made a list in my head of what ones I wanted and I was going to buy four all at once however, I thought I would stick to buying one, then if I liked them (which I do)I might purchase some in the future! Anyway, you are probably wanting to know what these shoes look like....
WOWWWEEEE! Aren't they b-e-a-utiful! They are textured, reptile print, pointed flats with a silver metal cap on the point of each shoe! I know, I know they are different and not to everyone's taste however, they are very unique and you can style them with all sorts. I'm obviously going to do an OOTD with these soon, so if you are interested in me styling them, then keep your eyes peeled!
Bye for now,
Hayley
