Product Review's

Nars Creamy concealer- After hearing everyone on the internet talk about how much they love this concealer I had wanted to try it out. So after trying it for a month I can now give my overall opinion on it. I love the coverage the concealer gives and the colour is actually lighter then my skin so I can highlight under my eyes etc. But I do find that it does crease more less straight away however I have now found that using a loose powder underneath works wonders. I also really love the fact it feels like you have nothing on it's that light.

Barry M Lengthening Showgirl Mascara- LOVE for only £4.99 you can't go wrong! It's brilliant because it doesn't make your lashes look clumpy or thick they look natural with the right amount of mascara on. I do put two coats on just to make them appear longer. The brush is plastic not hair but I am probably one of the small majority that prefer a plastic wand any day.

Mac Electric Cool Eye Shadow in Love Power- I picked this up in a outlet makeup shop and was drawn by this because I love the colour and the texture is so nice because it is so soft and buttery. I am not 100% sure whether this is a cream eye shadow or powder but either way it looks lovely on. For me I do find wearing an eye primer works best for this product because it lasts longer.

Missguided OOTD

As I was browsing the missguided website I came across the most beautiful sleeveless trench coat ever! I LOVE this jacket because you can dress anything up to make your OOTD more interesting...for example, I wore a black t-shirt and black jeans and then chucked my khaki jacket on, making my OOTD more stylish! Anyway, you are probably wondering where all of the pieces of clothing are from so here are links to them below:

New: Newlook Makeup

I have had a voucher for Newlook since Christmas, every time I go in there I can never find anything. However, yesterday I didn't find anything clothes wise but I managed to come across the little makeup stand. Newlook have only just recently launched there new makeup line so I was intrigued to try some things. I picked up 3 lip pencils and 1 glitter eye shadow pencil. I must say, the lip pencils are really great. They last all day, I have been wearing the two red ones today and it still looks exactly the same as how it was this morning. Oh I almost forgot to mention they are only £1.99!!!! The eye shadow pencil is also really lovely, I have worn it just on its own as a sweep of colour over my lids. I love this look. However, on its own it does tend to crease so a good eye primer is needed.

My Perfume Collection

Hello, sorry for the lack of posts recently but it will definitely not happen again because....EXAMS ARE FINALLY OVER! Woo, no more revising or stressing! Anyway, todays post is my perfume collection. Now every Christmas I get a perfume from 'Santa Clause' and for my birthday so I have a growing collection. But here are just three that are my favourites excluding my all time favourite... Gucci 'Rush' (which is not in the photo as I have ran out.)

I would say they all smell fairly similar so be prepared for my repetitive description of each one (soz!)

Loverdose by Diesel- This is the purple bottle on the left. This scent has got a holiday vibe to it without being a floral scent. It is not sweet and is a grown up smell. The bottle itself is unique as it is shaped like a heart but carved out like a diamond with all of its different sides.

Eclipse- from the Ghost collection. Now I have a small bottle of this and it is again a grown up scent. It is a warm scent that is floral but is not sharp so does not give you a headache like some powerful flowery scents. It is girly with its subtle fruity smell.

Heat by Beyoncé- Now, I have this in a large bottle (hence why it has been cut off in the photo.)Again this is a floral, fruity scent but does not hit your nose like you're in an overwhelming garden full of flowers. This is the stereotypical summer holiday smell despite it not being coconut.

I hope you have enjoyed reading my small descriptions of my favourite perfumes ATM.

Exam Tips

So after doing 7+ exams already we have accumulated some tips that help us in exams. Although we still have another 7+ exams left we thought it wold be a good idea to share our tips for our own good (to remember them) and for those that are reading this who are also in the middle of exams.

1) Highlighters- we feel like these are just the bog standard exam tool, but I know people don't actually use them. So for us we always take 3/4 different coloured highlighters into the exam to highlight keywords, key points information etc. They just make it easier to understand the question fully. It's better to understand the question then write a really good answer to realise that wasn't what they wanted you to say. So use them to prevent it!

2) Making sure you are not hungry. This is something we both have to make sure of because we find that when you are hungry in an exam you tend to distract yourself and focus on what you want to eat then the paper itself. We recommend having something that will give you energy like a banana for example.

3) Turning your phone off at night. The night before morning exams we always have to be in bed for 9pm (early we know but we wake up at 6 so we need the extra sleep) so we turn our phones off at 9. They recommend turning your phone off 30 minuets before you go to sleep but for us we just like to be relax and then drift of.

4) Pack your bag the night before. Always do this because then it gives you time to see whether you have all the equipment you need rather than stressing out in the morning.

5) Don't talk about the exam with other people-they will only make you panic (which is not what you need.)

6) Tie your hair up. Again I (Kirsty) tend to get easily distracted in exams especially when I'm not sure on a question so except from staying focussed I sometimes play with my hair if it is ever down. However, I have stopped doing this mainly because these exams are the real things and not the mocks. It just helps me stay focussed when my hair is out my face.

7) Go to bed early- It really helps even if its only 30 minuets earlier than usual.

8) Relax before exams-Don't try and squeeze in anymore revision because you want your brain to be calm and prepared to answer the questions in the paper. Revising before you are about to take it will only stress you out and most likely make you forget things.

9) Eat a banana- Banana's are a really great energy source. Having one before an exam will make you awake and energetic.

10) Drink plenty of water- Don't over drink so that you need to go to the toilet but make sure you have drunken some water and even take a bottle in the exam. But remember to take the label of! Drinking water makes your brain hydrated for you to stay focus and work to your best ability.

We hope this is helpful some of them are bog standard but as I said at the beginning it's to help us remember these tips as well. Good Luck in any exams!
