July Favourites

Hello beautiful people today's post is a July favourites! Unfortunately there is no fashion related items however we have a lot of fashion related posts coming soon!
For beauty I have pulled out my summer essentials. I believe all the lip products have been featured in posts before but that's  because I LOVE them all so much. So here they are:
Maybeline colour whisper in cherry on top (unfortunately you can only get these in America so when it runs out I might just cry)
Mac lipstick in impassioned this is so beautiful and will always be my holiday lips.
And revlon colour burst lipgloss in adorned, I really like putting this on top of the maybelline lipstick it looks gorgeous together.
And lastly a no 7 blush in the colour honey. My mum actually bought this for me because she has one and I always use it on her when I do her makeup and I just love it so much it looks lovely and sophisticated.
Here is swatches of the products:
The post-it notes is a really nice guideline for doing winged eyeliner or a sharp eye look!

Our favourite snack of the month is the Krave cereal! We have it in a small bowl with no milk and have it as nibbles!  It is yummy!!

Finally we have been loving the costa sticky toffee cooler!! It is soooo nice especially in the hot weather in England recently! It's delicious!!

Hope you enjoyed today's post ❤️❤️❤️
Sorry it is quite short but we didn't want to put anything in that we weren't loving as that is just pointless otherwise. We may not be posting now for about 2 weeks as we are going on holiday but if we can we will! Hope you are all having a great summer!

Summer blog vlog #1

Hello beautiful people today's post is what we have done the past week of our summer holidays! Although we broke up from school on Wednesday we thought we would upload each week on a Sunday and then have our main blogpost within the week! Let's begin....
On Thursday we went to the beach and had a cute picnic which included pretzel sticks, chocolate cookies, sandwiches and  some really yummy vegetable crisps! We also went shopping. Then after that I made a quiche for dinner and it was delicious
On Friday we went shopping again and all I got was face sun cream for when I go on holiday! Then in the evening we walked along the river. We were going to have dinner their however it was too busy so we ended up going to the dearly loved tescos and eating at 10pm woah what a late dinner.
On Saturday we were a bit more chilaxed and just went for a run in the morning and made a smoothie! We then went to sainsburys and had lunch! Then in the evening we went to our granddad and nans house for a BBQ!
Finally it's Sunday and unfortunately I did not take any photos. However me Kirsty and Caitlin went kayaking and now as I speak I am having another BBQ!
Hope you enjoyed today's post❤️❤️❤️

Big cook little cook;birthday surprise

Hello Beautiful people today's post is a Minnie Mouse cupcake recipe!! We are writing this post because today is Caitlin's Birthday....SO HAPPY BIRTHDAY CAITLIN!! We have done Minnie Mouse inspired decor because us 3 all love Disney and it brings back memories of when we went to Disneyland earlier this year! Without further a do here is what you will need...
Ingredients:
For the sponge:
110g of margarine or butter
110g caster sugar
2 free range eggs
1tsp vanilla extract
110g self raising flour
2 tbsp milk

Icing:
140g butter
280g icing sugar
Food colouring of your choice (optional)
Roll out icing
Bag of milk chocolate buttons
Method:

1. Preheat the oven to 180C/350F/Gas 4

2. Cream the butter and sugar together in a bowl until pale.

Gradually beat in the eggs and stir in the vanilla extract.

3. Fold in the flour using a large metal spoon, adding a little milk until the mixture is of a dropping consistency.

Then place the mixture into the paper cases until it is half way full. (I forgot to mention make sure you place 10 paper cases in a muffin tray)

4. Bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes, or until golden-brown on top and a knife inserted into one of the cakes comes out clean. Set aside to cool for 10 minutes, then remove from the tin and cool on a wire rack.

5. For the buttercream icing whisk together the butter and icing sugar until it is soft.

6. Then add the milk and whisk until everything is consistently bonded together.

7. Add the food colouring and mix until well combined.

8. Spoon the icing into the centre of the cupcake and using the back of the spoon spread around the top of the cupcake until it is all covered and at the thickness you want

9. Then make the bows for the Minnie Mouse head
Take a small part of the roll out icing, I used yellow because there was no red...
Anyway place the ball onto a clean surface and make it into a square
Then pinch the middle of the square and push the side to form the bow shape
Then using the back of a knife had the detailing like creases and centre of the bow however you can decorate you bow however you like
Then using your milk chocolate buttons place 2 at the back of the cupcake
Then add your bow and there you have it a Minnie Mouse cupcake!!
Hope you liked today's post and again Happy Birthday Caitlin ,make sure you go check out Caitlin's blog http://eatsleepandfashion.blogspot.co.uk/?m=1

A challenge to myself

Hello beautiful people, so at the beginning of this year we did a New Years resolution post and one of them was to read a book. Now for me to read a book is like trying to get an animal to talk. So now it being 7 months into the year, I have decided to buy a book.
The fault in our stars.
Now I know I will enjoy reading this book because I have seen the film which is now my favourite film ever. So you could say it's cheating but if I manage to start and finish this book then I have completed my challenge. I am going to start reading when I go on holiday so I can do something when I'm on the beach. I will definitely update you when I have finished the book.

Hope you enjoyed today's post. ❤️❤️❤️
