Random...

'Look from a different angle'- Big Hero 6.
Yesterday we went and watched (now one of my favourite)films Big Hero 6. Yes, I admit,I cried 3 times like full on sobs and yes I know its a cartoon. But I also have to admit I have cried at all the Disney films. I have a big heart, ok don't judge. Anyway I loved the quote in the film and wanted to share. 'Look from a different angle'- Big Hero 6.
Todays post is very random but I like random...
Oh, before we forget we have a series that will be posted in February because our ever so creative minds thought of something called....February Fitness Fridays! Do you like the alliteration there? Basically it is very self explanatory, we will be posting for an extra day in February on Fridays about fitness related things that being food, exercise etc. If you haven't read our 'New Years resolution' post then we discussed with you our wanting to be more fitness friendly ready for our PE exam and mentally healthy mind preparing for our exams. SO if you are interested then head on over to our blog every Friday to read something fitness related! We are very excited to do these posts and to dedicate it for a whole month, short but sweet. We know we aren't experts in the fitness area however we have gained some knowledge over it, so we would like to share it with you!
Anyway, you NEED to watch 'Big hero 6' because it is seriously amazing. Although it may come across as a kids film but so was 'Frozen' and EVERYONE loves frozen so EVERYONE should love Big hero 6. All I am going to say is...fist pump...bumflalala!

My Tips On Creating The Perfect Wings

Creating the perfect wings takes time and ALOT of patients. I have only just managed to finally perfect the skill for myself, so I thought I would share with you my tips and tricks.

Now first of all, its about finding what type of wings suit your eye shape. This is something I found extremely difficult at first but once you know it gets a lot easier! So for my eye shape I have to have a small thin line across my lash line and then a small wing. If I didn't have hooded eyes then I could possibly go a bit thicker but because I have hooded eyes thin wings look a lot nicer. Also I don't have long voluminous lashes so if I was to go a bit thicker you wouldn't be able to see my lashes at all. (I am still yet to master the false lashes but I think that is something for another day).
To learn about your eye shape and what suits you whether that's eye shadow or liner then I really recommend buying the 'Bobbi Brown Everything eyes' book. It's great and includes such useful advice for all different eyes including makeup for glasses.

Next I suggest finding what you prefer to use to create the wings. Recently I have been loving the benefit they're real push up liner. However I do go over the liner with a black eyeshadow. 'Blackout' from the naked 2 palette is what I use in particular it's the blackest black ever.

After that I then start the risk-taking wing creating. I do this by starting with drawing a thin liner close to the lash line. Then I look forward into a mirror to draw the shape of the wing and this helps because you can see what shape will suit you with your eyes open. Looking straight into a mirror is my top tip for getting the right shape. Once you have done this then go ahead and slowly fill it in.

I hope this has given a few tips that has made you now want to practise those wings. All I am left to say is Good Luck.

Kendall Jenner becoming a popular face in fashion

Hello, so todays post is basically dedicated to the iconic Kendall Jenner. She is becoming a lot more popular in the fashion industry. Her beautiful face being shown from a lot of designers such as, Chanel, Marc Jacobs, Estee Lauder, Givenchy and ALOT more! Now for me, Kendall and Kylie have always been role models ever since the Keeping up with the Kardashians began, it may have been the fact I was close in age so I could relate to them or the fact they looked like twins at a young age. But now they are both role models in their own way it is nice to see them grow in success. Kendall has become, I would say, a new face in fashion. We see her in vogue, fashion shows, fashion events etc. She is becoming a high demand in the fashion industry with all fashion designers wanting her featured in their collections. She has achieved so much at such a young age, most people are wanting to be her. Her style has become more her own with her small Celine's and pointed flats. I love her style it is classy and feminine with a touch of casual when she wants  it to be. So I didn't really have anything planned to say in this post, I thought I would just ramble on a bit about Kendall and at the moment I don't really know what else to say, apart from the fact Kendall is becoming a massive part of the fashion industry. I know, how about I show you some pictures of her modelling...

Wowwweee! Doesn't she look gorgeous!?
I love the first photo on the left the most, I think it brings out her jaw line more and I loveeee the fedora she is wearing!
She is on the road to even more success, I wonder what she will achieve this time next year?

Burnt Orange

This look I have created today is perfect for people with green eyes like myself because it just makes them pop. I have gone for a burnt orange, copper look with a wing. Here is how you can achieve this look...

Eyes:
Mac Prolongwear concealer applied all over the lids.  I did my eye makeup first so to even out my skin I applied my concealer.
Urban decay eye primer potion applied to the lids. Any eye primers are great to make the eye shadows last longer as well as making them a bit more opaque.
No 7 eyeshadow palette coppery colour all over the lid.
Mac Redbrick eyeshadow applied to the outer corner. This colour is a muted red-orange.
Benefit Hoola Bronzer blended in the crease.
Stilla in the light palette, sandstone also lightly blended in the crease.

Benefit they're real push up liner. Depending on your eye shape, create a wing that suits you. Next Wednesday I will be doing a post on my tips for wing eyeliner so keep that date in your Diary's!

Then I curled my lashes with my dirty works eyelash curlers.

And lastly I applied the Benefit They're Real mascara to my top and bottom lashes.

I would recommend wearing this look with a nude lip. I think it looks best.

Bedhead And TTA's 2nd Birthday

Bedhead is one of those brands that get used when you go to the hairdressers and you end up feeling like a million dollars after. They do little sets which we usually always get for Christmas which I always get excited for. This is the one we got this year... and believe me it does wonders! So the idea for these products are to make your hair stay straight for longer and beats the frizz (which is something we battle with everyday). The orange bottle is a lotion which you apply to your hair when it is damp. I usually just put it half way down my hair. Then I dry my hair about 80% of it and do my makeup then it should all be dry. After that I straighten my hair and spray some of the blue bottle which is the hairspray to hold the straightness in place for the rest of the day.

P.S Happy 2nd Birthday The Twin Antics! Can't wait to see what this year holds.

Just another opinion on the Golden Globes 2015

Hello, so today's post is about my review on the golden globes, worst and best dressed. This year there were loads of beautiful couture's, gowns and jumpsuits etc. So this post involves more than one favourite and only two worst dressed.
So I better get started or this post will be very long!

Best: Allison Williams
Armani Prive, where do I begin? When I first saw this beautiful beaded gown I thought it was very different but in a good way. The bright red, the vintage Hollywood curls and the layered fabric just shouts elegance and pure class! She looks very comfortable, confident and stunning. Her makeup compliments amazingly with the dress because it is subtle however it still has got Hollywood glamour all over it. I love how her accessories are not the main focus and it is just aimed at the dress. So Armani Prive I bow down to you, your creation was a success!

Best: Emma Stone
Emma Stone turned up wearing a Lanvin embellished jumpsuit with an oversized bow on the side of her waist. She looked amazing in this black jumpsuit and the best part was the top half...the statement piece being the embellishments. It shouted feminine....sophisticated....fun.... and power! The cut of the trousers are perfect, not to long and not to short. The fitting around her legs make the outfit sophisticated as it is not loose fitting (baggy) and not too tight where it's like 'here are my legs' (if that makes sense?) She took a risk with the oversized bow however she pulled it off with her confidence!

Best: Dakota Johnson
I think a lot of people are sceptical with this look as it is a bit out there. However, this was the first gown I saw hit the red carpet and I fell in love. It might be the slit down her leg, or it might be the contrast in silver detailing from the top half to the skirt half. The way the dress goes in at the waist flatters Dakota's figure. She looks beautiful. She rocked up like a silver star?! She is wearing Chanel. The only issue I have with the overall look is the hair, I think if she had, had an up-do it would complete the overall look. As it just looks like she has brushed it and, BOOM, golden globes.

Best: Margot Robbie
This look was all about being minimalistic, with the lack of jewellery, colour and makeup. However, she looked like an angel in this gown! The lack of jewellery allows us to focus on the emerald embellishments and the perfect slit down the dress as well as the deep V-neck. I have ran out of words to say with how perfect she looked but, my gosh didn't she look beautiful!? She was just on point with everything starting with the hair, makeup and then the stunning gown! The only negative thing I have to say are the heels...although they are the perfect colour and match her skin tone, they are too clumpy at the sole. But I loveeee this look overall!

Best: Jenna Dewan-Tatum
Well, well, well! Jenna looked BEAUTIFUL in this pastel lemon gown. The folded ruffle in the centre of the gown brings detail and individuality to the overall look. She looked stunning in the pastel yellow, it really matches her skin tone and black hair! Also the way the dress ends is flawless I love how it includes a little run, giving the gown a dressy up feeling. Also the layer at the chest adds definition to her figure. Again, she has gone for a minimal amount of jewellery which I like as it just shows the dress and how perfect it is. Her Jimmy Choo clutch completes the look with elegance!

Now here's to the worst...
Worst: Lana del Rey
What can I say? It looks like she has gone to a thrift shop and bought the most vintage dress she could find without thinking about the pleats, colour or material....Tell me if i'm being harsh but I didn't even know these dresses were still around? Lana Del Rey is gorgeous however this dress did not flatter her whatsoever...Sorry?
Worst: Rosamund Pike
The straps look like they will fall off due to how flimsy they are. The gown is too open for me with the cut outs, low V-neck and open straps. However, her makeup is flawless and Rosamund is beautiful. But the gown let her down.
So after this post I have noticed I need to find more words associating with beautiful? I hope you liked this post as much as I liked reviewing the dresses that were swarming the red carpet.

Two Chainz?

For my birthday I received this beautiful layered necklace from Hayley, I thought it would be very rude not to share with you this beauty! My top tip on wearing layered necklaces are to wear something plain or subtle so it focuses just on the necklace, you don't want to wear something that completely takes the attention away. This necklace is from Zara and if you are looking for any yourself go to Zara they do the best!

2015 New Year Resolutions: Reflection of 2014 New Years Resolutions

So last year we did a 'new year resolutions' post, now if you would like to see that post, click here.
I am pretty impressed with what resolutions we have achieved such as, post more frequently (we now have our post days on Wednesday and Saturday.) We said last year to get over 3000 page views....we now have over 5000. Try my best to be healthy...now I think this year has been more nutritious that 2013 however I would say after august it went a little bit downhill...but that's ok I have 2015 to improve, right?
So, I am now going to write our new years resolutions for 2015!
  • The main one is to stay focused, determined and motivated ready for our GCSE's! This is a major/important one because I want to do well in my exams in order to be able to have qualifications for when I am older. Also we need to stay focused because otherwise we will not do the best we can.
  • We also want to be positive and look at things in a more positive perspective. We need to go to school and think happy thoughts otherwise, we will just have a breakdown with the amount of work and stress that will hold us down in our last year of secondary school.
  • Next, is a very important one for us and that is to eat clean and stay lean....we want to look after our bodies and stay fit, ready for our practical exams in the spring and Kirsty is doing a half marathon so she needs to be fully prepared for that 13 mile run! We aren't going to have one of those lives where it is revolved around being organic or being all into fitness. We just want to feel better about ourselves because as they say, healthy body, healthy mind! (Of course we will still have pizza and chocolate...what would life be without it!!)
  • One for our blog is to have better photos and more interesting backgrounds!
  • Linking to the staying positive point, we want to explore and experience new things. For example, when we next go on holiday embrace the culture and do something adventurous.
  • Lastly, we want to appreciate and enjoy every bit of 2015!
We wish you a very happy new year and hope you make 2015 your best!
