Friday February Fitness | Breakfast-Lunch-Dinner

So today is the start of our February Fitness posts! So why not kick it off with food?! I would say the food is the most important as it affects you physically and mentally. After all, healthy body healthy mind! So we have decided to eat healthier by just supplementing what we would have usually of eaten! Here are one idea for each meals that we find truly scrumptious!
Breakfast:
PORRIDGE! Now when we first tried porridge we didn't like it as much. This was due to the consistency of milk to water. So we left it for a couple of weeks until I came across Jamie Oliver's 'how to make the perfect porridge' video! WOW! It truly is perfect and entirely healthy/clean! Having this in the morning definitely energises us ready for the day and makes us feel a lot more passionate about achieving things for the day. Positive would be the outcome of this breakfast! We mix fruit each day depending on what we have in the kitchen but we do LOVE mashed banana mixed in with the oats.
Lunch:
Salad. I love salad I think every time you make a salad it is different. Kirsty however didn't like salads until she was more open to the idea of trying more foods! And now she loves them and enjoys eating them and that is including lettuce! Salads enables us to have a good supply of vitamins and minerals as well as a satisfied palette when we have finished the meal! You know exactly what you are putting in your salad so no extra sugar or processed ingredients are included, it is all pure and fresh!
Dinner:
SOUP! Butternut squash soup! Energizing, filling and warming is what describes this soup. It is lump as we use a masher but we love it this way due to its texture. We have it with bread or pitta bread just to soak up the juices. This is a winter dish for the family that is perfect to end a tiring day!It is quick and easy to make, I got this recipe off slimming world so check it out if you are interested!

We hope you enjoyed the start to our Friday February Fitness! If you have a more sweet tooth then keep your eyes peeled for what is to come or if you are more interested in the fitness side then also keep your eyes peeled as we will be including a variety of aspects to a healthy lifestyle.
